EGO: THE POISON OF LIFE

All the spiritual leaders, saints have said again and again that ego is the real enemy of humans. It is the poison of life. It is the reason for all the fights and struggles. Even we all do agree with this but we fail to free ourselves from our ego because the ego is the driving force of life. Ego is what challenges us to do work. If there won't be an ego, we won't be able to do any work and this is what we think. Isn't it true? There is one more issue that is, we fail to see our ego. We notice other's ego but when it comes to ours either we name it as self-confidence or anger.  How to cut the string which is not visible . And the third problem is that sometimes other's ego gives rise to our ego. Now the question is how to protect ourselves from ego. It feels difficult to leave this ego as it gives us happiness not only on our achievements but also in our failures that look at my efforts how hard I worked.
